Lately, it feels like AI is everywhere. It's in our news feeds, our workplaces, our creative tools, and increasingly, our conversations. And it's bringing up a lot of different feelings: curiosity, excitement, skepticism, fear, frustration, hope.
The question we keep hearing from artists: What does this mean for my practice?
Should I be using AI? Should I avoid it? Is it changing how we create? What happens to artistic labor in a world where machines can generate images, text, music, and code? And how do we make sense of all of this when the technology seems to be evolving faster than anyone can keep up with it?
As artists and creative producers who actively engage with AI, we don't have definitive answers. We have questions (and fears) too.
This gathering is an opportunity to think through all of it together.
Consciously Produced, in collaboration with Lauren Mushro (@anatomyofai), is launching a series of small, experimental conversations for artists, creators, researchers, and anyone interested in exploring the relationship between art and artificial intelligence. We hope these conversations will grow into a broader community that includes workshops, panels, guest speakers, and other opportunities for collective learning.
Join us on June 29 at 6:00 PM ET or July 22 at 4:00 PM ET to share ideas, ask questions, voice concerns, exchange resources, or just listen in.
No expertise is required. No need to use AI to participate. Just bring your creative self!
